I am still learning to decorate my bentos like those bento books; besides the main decor, they add bits & pieces of decors to the side dishes too.

Its heart shaped pasta cooked aglio olio style today. Added a very simple cheese "envelope", to represent food "sent" with love ^^

The Tay's sausages are a tad too long, thus the heart didnt turn out distinct :(

Nöm #134- Meow or Roar? (28Jun-12)

Term 3.

Day 1- No bento.
Day 2- Gave kids store bought buns.
Day 3- No bento.

Boy whined last nite, saying school food not nice, not filling & expensive (coming from a boy who spent a few dollars on a cup of Koi?!?).
"I want momma's bentos." he said.

I have no idea how much of what he said was true, or whether he was trying to save his allowance for that bowl of TangYuan from Mr Bean after school, but nonetheless, it made me happy to know my kids still yearn for homepacked food.

My "engine" aint exactly warmed up, it's still in "school hols" mode.
Alarm went off this morning. I snoozed it for 15mins. And realise to my horror much later when I woke up that I had snoozed it for 1hour 15mins instead :S

Thank goodness I still manage to pack these on time, but not without a mad rush.
